Costa’s journey began when he went missing at the end of September while being transported to his new home from the Greenacres Rescue Centre in Haverfordwest. Despite exhaustive search efforts by staff and volunteers, Costa remained elusive, prompting fears that he had succumbed to the harsh elements of the Welsh countryside.
Living on his wits and instincts, Costa braved storms, freezing temperatures, and heavy rain as he roamed the wild terrain, evading capture and surviving against all odds. His disappearance left rescuers fearing the worst, with sightings of him becoming increasingly rare over the weeks that followed.
