HEY VALERIA, WELCOME TO DOGOPPO! WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A DOG PARENT?
The desire to share moments with an animal and to feel their unconditional love.

CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR DOG AND HIS/HER PERSONALITY?
He is a Shih Tzu, cute, sweet, and a little bit insecure.

HOW DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR DOG’S NAME?
I wanted a short name. “Dom” in Portuguese could mean a gift or a blessing.

WHAT’S THE MOST MISCHIEVOUS THING YOUR DOG HAS EVER DONE?
Sometimes he tries to eat his own poop, but it is rare.

WHAT’S YOUR DOG’S FAVORITE TREAT?
Bananas and biscuits.

CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT A SPECIAL MOMENT YOU’VE SHARED WITH YOUR DOG?
All moments with the family together are special.

WHAT’S YOUR DOG’S FAVORITE TOY?
Balls.

WHAT’S THE MOST CHALLENGING THING ABOUT BEING A DOG PARENT?
Taking care of him when he is ill.

HOW DO YOU KEEP YOUR DOG HEALTHY AND HAPPY?
I give him fresh food, and he walks on the street twice a day. We also play ball with him every day.

HOW HAS YOUR LIFE CHANGED SINCE BECOMING A DOG PARENT?
For the better. However, I lose my desire to travel because I do not like to leave him with a pet sitter.

WHAT’S THE BEST ADVICE YOU WOULD GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO’S CONSIDERING BECOMING A DOG PARENT?
Before deciding, make an honest assessment: Are you ready for the financial, emotional, and time commitment owning a dog requires?
